Chicago Botox Treatment Services

Botox is FDA approved injectable and the most popular way to reduce wrinkles on the face. This simple, non-invasive, pain-free procedure smooths your skin to create a refreshed, less tired, more youthful appearance! Botox has been used safely in cosmetic and medical treatments for decades. First used to treat cervical dystonia's unpleasant symptoms. It's also used to treat eye twitching (blepharospasm). Botox is used to treat persistent migraines, hyperhidrosis, and some kinds of urine incontinence. Botox is a cosmetic wrinkle treatments procedure that reduces wrinkles in a brief, comfortable session.

Skin Rejuvenation

Your facial spa doctor or augmentation surgeon can supply a whole line of prescription-strength skin care products to enhance your outcomes after any facial operation, such as a facelift or skin resurfacing procedure. Our licensed Chicago aesthetician will create a treatment plan specifically for your skin type. It’s never been easier to achieve smoother, younger-looking skin.

Skin rejuvenation laser treatments include:

  • Laser Skin Rejuvenation — A laser heats the dermis to stimulate collagen formation and enhance the skin’s surface, resulting in skin that appears younger and healthier.
  • Botox — A muscle relaxant that softens fixed “expression” lines including crow’s feet, frown lines, and forehead wrinkles. The procedure is quick, painless, and effective.
  • Juvederm/Restylane — These non-surgical techniques fill fine to deep wrinkles and restore natural volume to your skin, giving you a fuller, younger look.
  • Ultherapy is a non-invasive lifting procedure. Ultherapy is the only FDA-approved non-invasive method for lifting the skin around the neck, under the chin, and on the brow. Ultherapy can help you attain a fresher, more youthful look from your brow to your chest now that it’s FDA-cleared to enhance the appearance of lines and wrinkles on the décolletage!
  • Spider Vein Treatment – Dr. Shah can eliminate spider veins with minimally invasive injections or laser methods, restoring your youthful appearance.

Our licensed Chicago aesthetician also provides a broad range of aesthetic treatments.
These treatments include:
  • Laser Hair Removal – Laser hair removal uses concentrated beams of light to target the follicles of unwanted hair, resulting in a painless, effective hair removal therapy.

  • Photo facials — To balance out skin tone, a powerful pulsed light module targets freckles, brown spots, and sun damage.

  • Chemical peels, such as the VI Peel, can help to repair skin damage and delay the appearance of fine wrinkles. For a clearer complexion, it also helps to reverse damage in the “deeper” layers.

  • Microdermabrasion — Microdermabrasion is a non-invasive, non-surgical therapy that can eliminate small facial wrinkles as well as scars from acne or accidents.

  • European Facials — A soothing 60-minute session that includes a peaceful massage, deep cleaning, and steam treatment that cleans tones, and moisturizes your skin.

Customize treatment to patient requirements and goals

Decades of use prove safety and usefulness.

Recent research shows that Botox can also prevent wrinkles. In the early phases of aging, the mixture can remove or delay aging signs. Early studies have found that beginning Botox treatments at a younger age can stop wrinkles from forming and prolong a youthful appearance for years. Regular Botox patients can often lengthen the time between treatments. With consistent use, the medicine may “train” the muscles so lines don’t form as early or cease growing as rapidly for individuals with aging effects.

Cosmetic Medical Conditions: Botox Side Effects

There are very few side effects and medical conditions Botox treatments come with because they don’t involve anesthesia or cuts like surgery. Some possible side effects are soreness, swelling, bruises, headaches, and pain or discomfort at the injection sites. Most reviewed side effects will go away after a few days, and some will even get better within a few hours. If not please consult your healthcare provider or botox injection doctor to get treated right away.

Treatment Results | How Long Until They Show?

Most of our patients see the results of their treatment within 24 to 48 hours. But these first changes will keep getting better for at least two weeks and up to a month as the medicine spreads through the treatment area and keeps working to relax the muscles. In clinical trials, 90% of both men and women continued to look better a month after getting Botox injections. Your wrinkles will get less noticeable, and you’ll look younger and more refreshed. At the same time, you will still be able to move your face normally, so no one will know you had Botox unless you tell them. We usually tell patients to start planning about two weeks to one month before an event or trip to make sure they look their best.

Top Vitamins That Are Good For Botox | Skin Contouring

Several studies indicate that zinc is a “Botox booster.” Zinc has been the best skin rejuvenation vitamin and is shown to increase the duration of botulinum toxin injections by up to 30 percent.

How Long Does The Botox Effect Last?

The effects of one Botox treatment can last up to four months, but the effects will be different for each person. Depending on how bad the wrinkles are, some people may need more than one procedure at first to get the level of correction they want. If you stop getting Botox treatments, your fine lines and wrinkles will slowly go back to how they were before. You will need to get Botox treatments regularly to keep your results. Some patients may find that if they stick to a regular treatment plan, they can go longer between procedures without losing results. We can set up follow-up appointments as needed for adult patients treated, and we do offer packages to make the cost of cosmetic Botox easier on your wallet.

The Placebo Effect

Botox treatment is almost certain to provide significant results to patients receiving a placebo. This is part of other medical conditions Botox brings. On top of that, there is an actual pharmacological effect. Combine that with the inclination of pain patients to want to try something new because none of the conventional medicines perform well.

How Much Does Botox Injections Cost?

Botox costs different amounts depending on where you live, how many units you get, and where on your face you get it injected (smaller areas obvs cost less).

Botox will cost more if you go to one of the best botox-experienced, board-certified dermatologists or plastic surgeons than if you go to a discount medspa. And it makes sense: the more skill an injector has and the bigger the city they live in, the more money they’ll charge for their service.

FYI: Injectors can charge for Botox by the area (for example, a lump sum for just the forehead or just the eye area) or by the unit (a unit is a measure of quantity; Botox comes in vials of 50 or 100 units, and a single injection usually contains 3 to 5 units). The number of Botox units you’ll need depends on the shape of your face and the effect you want. More units will give you a more dramatic smoothing effect, while fewer units will give you a more subtle one.

But in general, you can expect to pay anywhere from $19 to $25 per unit in bigger cities and as little as $10 per unit in smaller cities. Dr. Shafer says, “I like to charge per unit so that patients only pay for what they need.” “It doesn’t make sense to pay by the area if you only want a small amount of Botox.” But there is one benefit to paying for Botox by area: consistency. Dr. Shafer says it will always cost the same, no matter how much or how little Botox you get.

Adult Spasticity and BOTOX: What to expect

Patients receiving BOTOX have an increased risk of developing lung disease if they have impaired lung function. There have been reports of urinary tract infection, bronchitis, and spasticity upper respiratory tract infections (common colds). Bronchitis was more commonly observed in persons who received BOTOX for upper limb stiffness. If you’re experiencing these symptoms, get in touch with your doctor, surgeon, or medical health provider for assistance immediately.

What Are The Symptoms?

  • Muscle tone has increased.
  • Overactive Reflexes
  • Spasms (brisk and/or sustained) are involuntary motions.
  • Clonus and involuntary muscle contraction (series of fast involuntary contractions)
  • Pain
  • Functional limitations and delayed motor development
  • Difficulties with hygiene and care
  • Unusual position
  • Contractual obligations (permanent contraction of the muscle and tendon due to severe persistent stiffness and spasms)
  • Deformities of the bones and joints

How Is It Treated?

Baclofen (Lioresal), clonazepam (Klonopin), Dantrium, diazepam, or tizanidine may be used to treat spasticity. Occupational and physical rehabilitation programs, including muscle stretching and range of motion exercises, may prevent tendon shortening. Rehabilitation can lessen or stabilize symptoms and enhance function. Local injections of onabotulinumtoxinA (Botox) and abobotulinumtoxinA (Dysport) for upper and lower limb spasticity are more effective than oral medicines for many types of spasticity, but they have serious side effects, including difficulty breathing or swallowing or spreading to other areas of the body. When other treatments fail, deep brain stimulation is being researched. Tendon release, nerve-muscle pathway cutting, or baclofen pump implantation as reviewed may be indicated (intrathecal baclofen therapy).

What nutrients should be avoided after Botox?

Vitamin E, St. John’s Wort, garlic, turmeric, chia seeds, Ginkgo biloba, and flaxseed oil are examples of common supplements that should be avoided before treatment (and other oils high in omega-3 fatty acids). Before discontinuing any regular drugs, it’s best to consult an augmentation physician or facial spa dr.
